Diversity symbolizes the expression of different styles. Since its independence, Malaysia has been a country where diversified races, languages, cultures, and religions co-exist. Our greatest characteristic is the adherence to the value of diversity among all races, as well as the respect and acceptance of each other's differences. In this land marked by multiculturalism, we could experience the essence of the local cultures, in which the minority indigenous traditional cultures have also constituted Malaysia’s unique cultural attraction. We may be constructed by different beliefs, behaviours, and skin colours, but we are mutually supportive and equal in our relationships.

The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 disrupted the established societal order and led to the emerging prosperity of businesses and leaders that centered around Internet technology. In fact, Internet technology has flourished under the auspices of the epidemic and has reached a pinnacle that is boundless and vast, thus leading society into a new era! Almost every business in the world is using Internet technology to operate. Remote work, online meetings, and virtual conversations are the new norm. However, at the same time, we are also losing the skill that we are proud of as the highest intelligent beings on earth—face-to-face communication!

As a result of the pandemic, Malaysian tertiary students have spent more than two years studying at home online, with only familiar faces filling their circles, thus lacking the opportunity to step out of their fixed social circles and meet new friends in person. There is hardly any opportunity to communicate with strangers in person, let alone to get in touch with fellow ethnic groups and learn about the multicultural differences in Malaysia! 

Thus, NIVC 6.0 "Celebrating Cultural Diversity” is setting its sails again, in which we are going back to the physical camp to meet our fellow university friends. This time, not only will we take you out of your comfort zone, but we will also help you understand the beauty of Malaysian diverse cultures and customs in the post-epidemic era! Join us as we enter the circle of our fellow friends from other ethnic groups to explore more unknown ethnic cultures and strengthen our sense of national identity through perceiving cultural differences. Last but not least, let us celebrate the unique charm of Malaysia together!

As the name implies, the phrase "Celebrating Cultural Diversity" describes the wonders of Malaysia's cultural fusion. It is a celebration of the hard-earned spiritual treasures of the people of different ethnic groups which they are united by respect for each other's cultures. In this historical land, we embrace the coexistence of diverse cultures that our predecessors have worked so hard to preserve. We promote the concept of autonomous cultural heritage, establish the core values of each culture, and advocate the true meaning of unity in a pluralistic society.
